Arnoma Grand Located opposite one of the largest shopping malls in Thailand. The Pathumwan district will superb and definitely let you shop till you drop. Citrus Hotel - (Johor Bahrus)

Short trip to celebrate my birthday and our wedding anniversary, hotel didn't disappoint us. 

Wife had pre-arranged birthday and the anniversary set up which was done very well. 

Got an upgrade to a club room, room was excellent. Had the specialty towel-made swan with rose petals on the bed, and birthday cake on the dinning table. 

Didn't expect hotel to be able to pull this off, although we had a similar arrangement experience before in other hotel. 

A testament to the Compass Hospitality group for always providing the extra touch to make traveler's experience memorable. 

This experience highlights that it wasn't a one off, and we won't hesitate to stay at any hotel within the group again.

My hubby & I frequent JB on a weekly basis just to relax & always look forward to check into Citrus Hotel. 

The front desk staffs & The GM will not hesitate to make our stay always a very pleasant one as they go the extra mile to accommodate to our request to the best of their ability.

On 9 Jan , I celebrated my hubby's birthday n requested that our room be decorated. The front desk got permission from Mr Aron to spruce up the room & I must say it was a job Well Done!

Then on 18 Jan, we celebrated my birthday & I was even more surprised when our room was marvelously decorated.

It was not a slip shod work & I can tell that Mr Aron took plenty of time to decorate the room with his team. I'm sure as a GM he has a very busy work schedule but despite all that, he goes beyond his call of duty just to keep up the standard of the hotel.

We were there again on 7 & 8 Feb & was amazed to see Stieve manning the entrance, doubling up as a security at times & even clearing the tables in the cafe during breakfast. To be honest, we have been travelling frequently & has never met a humble guy like Stieve.

He is Definitely an asset to any Organization that has the privilege to employ him. He deserves a pay raise for sure.

Even the 4* Hotels in JB has never provided this service to be honest.

Room Boutique Hotel - (Johor Bahru)

Stayed over the weekend and made the booking online. it was RM118, standard rate for a deluxe room (1 double bed). room is small, but good enough for the price. location is 20 mins from city centre, immediate area not much to do or see. 

The following below is a list of pros & cons.

Pros:

1. clean room
2. fast checkin & checkout process
3. plenty of parking around the hotel & with guard
4. i love that there are bed side tables (both side) & electrical sockets (so convenient!)
5. nice decoration overall
6. instant water-heater
7. clean sheets, comfy bed
8. hairdryer can be provided if asked through the checkin counter
9. provided places to hang clothes/ towels
10. toiletries given
11. wifi was awesome!

Cons:
1. no lift, so it may be difficult for kids or older customers (although, i saw that they are rooms on the ground floor)
2. toilet is a bit dark (only 1 bulb).
3. shower head was a bit moldy
4. TV channels are bit static-ky, but at least they have Fox movies.
5. location is a bit off (and kinda dark and creepy) at night. same row there are two nightclubs, but security guard is friendly and they keep watch (they have lots of cctv around too).

Appreciate that the hotel put a parking ticket on our car in the morning to avoid any authority summons (JB authorities are very strict on parking).

Overall, a very good stayed. Keep it up!

Bliss Boutique Hotel - Near KSL Mall

The hotel was so beautiful and well managed. I have stayed there for one night and wish I could have extend my stay one for more night.

The are various style of room design,the room and toilet are kept clean and no smell. I thought it was a new hotel but the receptionist told me the hotel have been there for over 5 year. I would definitely re-visit and stay here again in future.

It was a vibrant and impressive hotel stayed during my business trip. I was amazed by the touch screen panel in the lift, and there was free wifi and which I needed most to stay connect for my business. Furthermore, the guest lobby also provide two computer free for guest to used, connection was stable throughout.

The room decoration was spectacular, I would say similar to a swanky 5 star hotel. Location was also convenient not too far away from KSL mall, but have limited parking place at the hotel. Cleanliness and comfy of the room is pretty good and well maintenance. Have a friendly environment with staff servicing with a smile, they were very patience and helpful for my queries too.

Will highly recommend this hotel for traveler for their holiday in JB
